There is something about Edgar

Edgar is worth watching. Yes easy on the eyes, but something else. He's pretty deep. He'll say things someone else is afraid to say. Whether encouraging "the kid" on deck, asking Matt what made him blow up, or being very blunt with Leno about the lack of companionship on board - he says what's on his mind. I appreciate that. And he enjoys catching Sig off guard which is rather humorous.

Edgar did not finish high school. He started working on the NW at age 17 and has been there ever since.

Norman went for engineering. Edgar did say on an interview that he did not finish his "edumacation" (in those exact words) to start working on the boat at 17.

Another thing about Edgar, is while most of the guys out there do not hesitate to curse, you will notice, when he speaks he always manages to use a different word instead of foul language. That to me is impressive, as my dad always said, anyone can curse, it takes a real person to use a pleasent word! (not that I don't curse!) But you hardly will here his comments have "beeps" in them! Though he does give pretty good descriptions---LOL!

Very true, besides the family business, Edgar is co-creator of a video game and endorses a clothing line among other things. Sometimes the school of life more than makes up for a diploma. That's not to say I think students should drop out of school, but our Edgar did pretty well for himself

Did anyone catch the "between the show quotes" where Edgar is describing the male/female crab difference...I had to laugh when I read your post it reminded me of his "woohoo's" referencing fig leaf coverage....LOL!

Edgar Hansen is one of the most charismatic people I have ever seen. I fell in love with the guy the moment I first saw him. The genuine smile he has on all these pictures of the people here who were lucky enough to meet him--you can tell too he has a heart of gold. Quite the handyman also. I cannot praise the guy enough, my only 'complaint' would be I wish I had a co-worker with his enthusiasm & talent. I used to, long, long ago......

His talent is also amazing. You should see the kitchen he built in his house, in his spare time. Just beautiful. And yes, he is geniune!
