[Feedback] Specific Area for Game Players??

I cannot wait for the game to come out and I am sure we will all have a TON of questions, comments, etc.
I was wondering if maybe we could keep all the info in one spot on the forum, perhaps under an "Alaskan Storm Game" thread..

I think this is a terrific idea! Having a seperate forum area for the game discussion just seems like it will keep things neat and tidy, and easier to navigate for both gamers and non-gamers alike.

That sounds like a good idea.

Remember you can always go to Greenwave Support Forums to access all the latest information. Once the game ships, you should be able to get the answers to your questions there.

A social group would be a good thing too.

But being able to create threads about different game topics would make it so much easier. From the sound of things, we have a lot of gamers and "soon to be" gamers here on the forums.

And having all those threads in one place would be nice for gamers and non-gamers alike.

Good luck to you all. Hope you catch lots of crabs and please don't sink any of the boats. The skippers need them for next season.

My thinking was that this forum would be perfect as it has mainly fans who want to play the game vs straight gamers.
I belong to a couple of EA Games forums and they get to be a nightmare at times trying to get accurate info on bugs, patches and the like.. However if you go to say ( for sake of example I'll use The Sims 2, my all time favorite) game forum that is well moderated and run as I see this forum is, we all stick together to help one another.
Also another great thing is that you just cannot "join" this forum, you have to wait for your email until you can post, a real plus I believe, as well as the ability to post a "spoiler" without others having to view it if they don't want to..

Just a suggestion, I hope you don't think I am too pushy for a newbie, I just cannot wait to play this game and I want some game buddies..

I have played the one on the Discovery site but I must admit it isn't quite challenging enough for me.. LOL
I am curious too to see how many are getting the PC game versus the XBOX.. Maybe I'll do a little polling..

If you click on "User CP", you will find a link for "Social Groups". And there, you will find specific interest groups like Fishing and Photography, and "Oh Canada" for Canadian fans.

The social groups allow members to interact with others who have similiar interests. Most of the groups are public, meaning you can just join them.

Some are private, but just ask the person who created it to add you.

I created a social group called: Deadliest Catch: Alaskan Storm. Just ask for an invite, and I will gladly add you.

I hope this will help a little until the game is out anyway. You can also post in the Greenwave Games forum. Perhaps after the game is released some other type of support/forum will be set up at Greenwave or another site. I was wondering about alaskanstorm.com. Maybe something will eventually be set up there?
