| Here are a few books of mine: Here is a few with their link from Amazon.com: The Sea's Bitter Harvest: Thirteen Deadly Days on the North Atlantic by Douglas A. Campbell. Which chronicles the sinking of four commercial clam fishing boats in the North Atlantic during an amazingly short two week period in January 1999. Ten fishermen lost their lives in this brief period, easily the worst month for Atlantic fisherman in the modern age. http://www.amazon.com/Seas-Bitter-Ha...902503-2403014 Here is another one: The Hungry Ocean: A Swordboat Captain's Journey by Linda Greenlaw. Which is about her 31 day fishing trip in the Grand Banks. http://www.amazon.com/Hungry-Ocean-S...3953955&sr=1-2 Last edited by Minarvia; 07-09-2007 at 08:43 AM. Reason: Added the books, after asking if they are okay. |

| Re: Resources Ok this is a book that I'm going to order and might be of interest for everyone including the Hansens - It's a copulation of first hand stories - narratives by the Norwegian emigration (that is people leaving Norway to another country) in Commercial fishing. It's called: "Following the Waters: Voices from the Final Norwegian Emigration. An oral history about courageous imigent commerical fishing" by Astrid Tollefsen, published in 2005 by Leifur Publications. It's on Amazon if you want to order it.
