It's an IDEA...no need to go over the edge. Many people, including you, have been asking for the arcade back. The arcade is also a game, which means you win a big fat Nothing there as well. It's a game; the reward is bragging rights. Let Ryan or Patrick decide...they are more aware of our specific bandwidth than anyone else.

I don't drink , but it doesn't mean everyone else shouldn't drink...I don't play in the arcade <ever> or gamble , but it doesn't mean it might not be fun for other people. Maybe Ryan can take a look and see what he thinks...would it really hurt to take a look into it before we say no? I really don't care one way or the other , but I do know if gambling is a issue then don't play...I don't hang out in bars either! lol

Yes, it's a game - but there are people who have an addiction to these types of "games." I'll be the first one to admit I shouldn't have posted things about alcohol - another addiction others have struggled against. But gambling online, even for "bragging rights" may be starting down a slippery slope. I think we've been thru enough lately without including another kind of competition into the mix. Well, that's my 2 cents.

Well basically whoever is in charge of it sets up a certain amount of play money for every member. Then they simply post any type of bet they want and they can even give odds.

For example....lets say this site had the vBookie 9 months ago. The Mod in charge could have set up a bet on whether you would have had a boy, girl, twin boys, twin girls, etc. The Mod could set up bets for the NFL, TV shows, who will win the presidency, i think you get it.

It was just a suggestion, I didn't mean to upset anyone.

And i'm glad you mentioned the arcade....i didn't want to suggest that too.

IMHO, this forum is NOT a place for gambling, even if it's pretend money or whatever. I don't like that idea at all. Just my 2 cents.

Well my personal opinion is that there shouldn't be gambling on the NW site. An arcad is one thing, gambling is another. I just don't think it fits in here that's all...sorry JMO!

I'm not upset...and I know all about addiction! All I was saying was basically , I don't care one way or another I just thought it would be a nice change because there aren't any new shows yet....and it seemed everyone was getting a little "crabby" I don't play games and it appears this is one the majority doesn't want to play either...whatever! lol
