I realize the threads have gotten big - but couldn't the first half be deleted and leave the second half of the posts? I really enjoy seeing how people's minds work with their responses. It's also a good way for new members to start contributing to the forum. I know I was kinda intimidated at first . . .

I can't see who locked the thread for some reason which leads me to believe it was either Patrick or Ryan (our administrators). I am guessing the reason that penn state gave is correct. The thread is just getting too big and taking up too much space. You can always IM ssvp or Ryan and suggest your idea. I'll also forward your question to them.

I have moved this thread to Site Suggestion and Feedback. I like your idea of just deleting half.
