I've been to that bridge, I didn't see any bats. Are there really bats there or is that a joke? I have bats at my house, first time my daughter caught sight of them at dusk, she thought they were drunk birds...kids say the darndest things. (No jokes about bats in my bellfrey(sp?-my spellcheck doesn't work here) please.-LOL)

Yeah, when the bats arn't in Mexico ( Mexican free-tailed bats) they fly up here to Austin and nest under the Congress Avenue brige during March through October. I've never seen them either, I just hear about them.

I will vouch for her! The bats are a big deal here. They have a special viewing area for them, with naturalists who come and explain all about them.

The bats come out around dusk during the spring, summer and fall. The picture's awesome, and just what it looks like!
