Kind of new to posting

I joined this site probably over a year ago and I've been one of those who tend to lurk around. I think I've made 1 post so I decided maybe I should try out this meet and greet. I live in the southeast in GA. My goal is to one day move back to the staet I was born in - Alaska. I've wondered over to a few other sites and posted maybe twice on disco. Maybe I'll get better at this posting thing.

This week I was reading about Norm's wildlife pictures and being someone who would love to live in a forest with the wildlife I finally got the courage to create a myspace page just so I could see if I could view his pics. I never thought I would create one and even after I got the basics created I was scared to death to ask permission to view his pics but I got the courage and did it and to my surprise he let me. Ya'll were right he doesn't mind. Still feel a little weird doing so because I felt like I'm intruding in his life. But what happened after that was one of the best things that has ever happened to me. In a way, I have ya'll and Norm and his eye for photography to thank because within hours of getting a myspace page created one of my niece's whom I haven't talked to in over 7 years (she would email occasionally) found me and we got to talk for 4 hours. And I got to hear her 2 year old daughter's voice for the first time. And now we've talked everyday! So thank you to those who gave me and others encouragement to ask to view Norm's pics. I would have never created a myspace page if I hadn't want to see them and who knows how much more time would have gone by before I got to reconnect with my niece.

I hope I have posted this in the right place and done so appropriately but if I haven't hopefully one of the mods will let me know. Please remember I'm new to this so I may not always be in the right place.
