This weeks pics in ABC news were stunning of the storms , ice, and devastation across OK and midwest. Sorry you were one of the ones that lost power. Totally electric house or did you have any gas heat?

Oh, no no. Let me clarify. I have gone without power for a month in the past. This time, we didn't lose power. We lost internet, phone, and cable tv.

In Oklahoma, most houses are electric with natural gas heating, and ours is no exception. We also have a natural gas dryer and water heater. We were always comfortable this whole week.

My parents finally got electricity yesterday. :)
