Welcome aboard! Try not to let us crazy crab people scare you off. We're just here for a little harmless fun. Just don't ask Mama to drive the boat! (You'll find out what I mean, I'm sure...)

Re: Hello from Wales

Hi, All,

The castle is Laugharne Castle and lies at the heart of our village.

We movd here two years ago, but having lived only 6 miles down the road at Pendine (famous for the British Land speed record attempts) for nine years previous to that we knew what happens here so we got a house at the top of the hill

We went down for a look last night, highest tide of the year and we have never seen it as bad, right through the town square, into the pub, although they're used to it and carried on serving.

May happen again tonight if there is an onshore wind

Will try and post more pics later if I can

Bye for now

Sue

Re: Hello from Wales

Hiya,
I have been to St. Abbs once. Very nice there. Unfortunately I have never been to Wales though. Friends of mine went on a trip there and loved it.

You should really come to Edinburgh again, so beautiful (I know I am biased , but it's definitely worth another visit). I can recommend a visit during the festival time. The city is absolutely buzzing then.

He, that is me, Celtic, Grandma came from Scotland (dad's side) and grandpa came from Ireland (mom's side). You should see the family reunions, cant get throught the gate without doing shots first. After a few rounds they try and play horseshoes. It can be very funny.
