Hello Nicole - fellow grey owner ... I completely agree. Not fake. Ritual doesn't always have to be done with pomp and circumstance - in re: to the jacket " - it was for me and I am sure for Jake a defining moment - he achievement of man hood - of fisherman hood so to speak.
In addition.. I grew up on a farm to - there was a way to do it - you learned it and then you did it. you learned to do it that way because there had been generations before you that had tried all the rest and this was the best way. As they used to tell me - well, when you have your own farm do it your way - while you are here - you do it my way. And that's the end of that.
Eventually I saw the light - but I was a little thick headed .. lol ... I'm a hard learner as they say ... you alwways learn more when you fall off the horse than not... it's whether you get back on again and learn from it that makes all the difference. - oh yeah and don't forget to milk the goats too! ( I hated milking those blasted goats! urgh)
