| Howdy from Texas! Howdy!
My husband and I just returned from what turned out to be the "Deadliest Catch" tour of Seattle. We are HUGE fans of the show (hey, everything is bigger in Texas!) and have watched since it began. Our trip to Seattle was glorious as we had an unexpected visit with Edgar last Saturday! We were at the boatyard to snap some pics of the NW and Wizard, and he happened to be there overseeing some repairs. We found the boats while on a tour and saw where they were docked. A little sleuthing the next day led us right to the dock! Well, Edgar couldn't have been nicer and visited with us as if he had nothing better to do, and agreed to pose for a few pics. Thanks Edgar!!!! Definitely the highlight of the trip. We left as happy as clams and headed for the Lockspot for some celebratory beers. We also met Kenny, the "Old Guy" on the SeaStar. It is docked and available for tours. We spent quite some time visiting with Kenny and getting a personalized tour, as well as some insight into the show and behind the scenes stuff. They also sell t-shirts, hats etc. If you are in Seattle, we highly recommend the SeaStar tour. I really liked sitting in the Captain's Chair (on our boat I am the Admiral!) and climbing inside one of the pots. Awesome and I couldn't believe how solid they are constructed. Can you say HEAVY? We are now even BIGGER fans is that is at all possible. Got Crab?
Happy 4th everyone!
